Love the photo! I have a similar one from my family in the Tirol (Italy), taken after Lake Tret was created in 1921. The first introduced trout were transported by horseback from Lake Garda which is some 60 miles away.
Good answer! We’ll go with that. I’ll bet there was plenty of banter happening between the people in the picture and the people outside the frame taking the picture.

Ok, that story’s so much cooler than mine! This photo was likely taken somewhere near Seattle–but it’s one of my favorites!

I can only imagine…it’s a great photo. One of the best I’ve found over the years! They definitely seem like they’re laughing about something.
