I grew up in the Charlotte area and am an alumna of UNC-Chapel Hill (go heels!). In addition to my professional work, I have a range of personal research experience, specializing in breaking down “brick walls” and navigating paper trails across the United States.
What a great family grouping! I love the smiles of the two women. If I’m not mistaken, William is smiling under that luxuriant ‘stache.

Looks like a Sunday afternoon affair or special occasion. Where was it taken?

Folsomdale, New York–it’s a hamlet in Bennington, New York (but that’s really small too, and most people haven’t heard of it!). Fun fact: Frances Folsom Cleveland (the First Lady during Grover Cleveland’s presidency) spent a lot of time in Folsomdale and was descended from the hamlet’s namesake. She was born in Buffalo, I think.

Love the family grouping on the porch. I also like the planter box at the bottom. A wonderful picture.
